The Best Cranberry Sauce – Ever

This is seriously the best cranberry sauce ever. It’s delicious, sweetly tart, and pares well with turkey, or just about any meats. Especially roast ones.

Please note: you’ll need a super blender for this. Think a Vitamix or a Cuisinart. This won’t work without it.

Start with a one pound bag of raw cranberries. Wash and let them dry. Pour them in the blender. Add 3/4 cup of sugar, a teaspoon of vanilla, and a dash of cinnamon. Next core an apple and cut it into quarters. Next cut an orange into quarters. (Don’t peel either of them. The orange peel is especially good in this). Put the apple and orange in the blender and grind the whole mix until it’s a coarse consistency. Not too much: you’re not making applesauce here.

This takes less than 15 minutes from start to finish. It’s the best cranberry sauce I’ve ever eaten and reasonably nutritious as well. You’ll find yourself buying extra bags of cranberries for the weeks ahead. And you’ll get glad you did.
