In our time, real information is either online or in books. Most periodicals are there to serve one of two purposes: either to provide filler for commercial advertising or as paid shilling for establishment purposes.
If you want to disagree about there being an “establishment” ask yourself what ideas are most important to you. Most of us will have, at most, 3 or 4 most important ideas. Are your ideas controversial? Meaning, how much are you in line with polite news sources (we can all recognize these immediately, but for examples, think the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, CNN, Fox news, or, in 99% of cases, whatever is the considered authoritative news source in your community).
3 Do you have any ideas that most people would disagree with you about? If your view of the world lines up with that of powerful politicians, major multinational corporations (Exxon Mobil, Google, Amazon, and Microsoft come to mind as examples, but there are hundreds more) and the elites, do you really have an opinion or is what you’re viewing as an opinion no more than carefully parroting a party line?
Do you have ideas or questions that your embarrassed to admit? If so, why are you embarrassed? What do you have to lose by admitting them?
