Writing and Christmas

Writing is really a shot in the dark. We usually don’t know who is reading what’s being written or their reaction.

The writer is seldom privy to what readers are thinking, unless there are comments, and that happens very, very infrequently.

So I’m admitting that I don’t know who most of you are. I don’t know your background, your loves, your fears, your lives.

What I do know is my appreciation for your reading. For mentally interacting with my thoughts. I deeply appreciate your attention, and I hope my words prove useful to you – now and in 2022, and beyond.

And I wish all of you great and abiding joy this Christmas season. Some of you probably are – like me – a Christian of some variety, while some are probably not. But wherever you are on your spiritual lives, I wish you the joy of Christmas.

It’s no secret that the last close to two years have been tremendously challenging for almost everyone on this planet. I’m by nature an optimist, especially for the long haul. That optimism makes me think that we are at the end of this period. I could be wrong. But however long or short this period lasts, we can be thankful that in the long run, humanity – despite our failings and wrongdoing – comes out ahead. That will be true for this time as well

So a joyful and blessed Christmas to you all. Enjoy this season with those you love, and come out of this celebration ready to make next year better than the last has been.

(And if you’d like to interact further, I welcome your response. My contact information is on my website, jameshuffman.com).
